Simulation games for winding down

Not every game needs to be a challenge. Sometimes you want something to gently tinker with while your brain cools off, and simulation games are ideal for that.

Tiny Harbor is a great example — a port manager with no fail state, just steady growth. You set up a few deliveries, come back later, reinvest. There's a quiet pleasure in watching a little town fill out.

The best cozy sims keep their systems shallow enough to understand at a glance but deep enough to keep nudging you toward the next small goal. Get that balance wrong in either direction and the spell breaks.

We look specifically for sims whose progress isn't tied to real-time server timers, since those tend to break offline. Local, honest progression is what we want.

Pair one of these with a quiet evening and it's genuinely soothing.
