About

Offline Arcade started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept recommending games to each other on long train rides with no signal. At some point the list got too big to keep private, so we turned it into a site. Everything here is written after someone on the team has actually finished or sunk real hours into a game.,We focus on one simple thing: games you can open on a plane, in a tunnel, or in the middle of nowhere and still enjoy. That rules out anything that nags you to reconnect every two minutes. If a game needs the internet to function, it doesn't make the catalog.,Choosing what to cover is mostly curiosity. One of us spots something interesting, downloads it, and if it holds up for a few evenings, it gets a proper review. We don't chase release calendars or trends — we write about what kept us playing.,Nobody pays us to feature a game, and we don't take game keys in exchange for a certain score. When we like something we say why, and when something frustrates us, we say that too.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been testing mobile games since the early touchscreen days and handles most of the longer reviews. He's the one who insists every game gets played on a cheap phone too, not just a flagship.
